Abstract:
In this article the testing of the acceleration environment on the MKV Special Operations Craft(COC) are discussed. Test planning, setup and results are discussed in detail. The IST model EDR-3C tri-axial acceleration waveform recorder was used. The objective of the measurements was to determine acceleration levels at various locations of the 82' long watercraft to qualify their effects on the hull, equipment, and personal. The testing was conducted at speeds up to 50 knots and with sea heights averaging 3 feet. This article included results and discussions.
