New Version of DynaMax for Windows v1.6.9
Download your update to DynaMax for Windows v1.6.9 now! To download you need a user name and password to our website. If you don’t have one, click here for instructions on getting one.
If your current CD version is 1.5.2 or earlier, OR if any of your software modules are earlier than these version numbers, this download is required for operation in Windows 2000 or Windows XP or newer versions of Windows.
If your current CD version is 1.5.3 or later, this incremental version is important to users of MotionMasters, users that have pressure sensors (internal or external), “M4” variants of any model (for user with strain gages), and other users with sensors other than accelerometers, temperature sensors and RH sensors connected.
Extreme Shocks with Zero Duration
From time to time users (primarily in the railroad industries) report getting irrational velocity changes (like, say, 100+ mi/hr), but the duration reported in the software is zero. This is caused by a bug in the firmware of the recorder, and we’re still trying to chase it down. But in the meantime, you can avoid the bug with one simple change to your settings:
Change either your filter setting or g range slightly up or down one “notch”.
What I recommend and is the easiest is to change the filter setting from 10 to 17 Hz. This will not affect the data significantly for railcar coupling, and you don’t have to worry about finding your next highest g or velocity change setting.
IST’s Software Licensing Policy
Sometimes, your IT department won’t leave you alone until you give them the licensing info for your software. IST is quite liberal with the software, we want you to be successful whether that means you need to copy our software to other workstations onsite, other contractors or your customers. Contact IST if you want a copy of this for yourself, but here’s the scoop:
If you own an IST recorder, you can provide unlimited seats and copies to:
All employees using the data or equipment (regardless of location)
Any contractors doing the same,
Any customers of yours doing the same.
In essence, the license is broken when you get the software without owning or using our equipment.
Download your EDR via your network or the internet!(This Item is discontinued)
IST now has a new product that allows you to connect with your recorder via an Ethernet or Internet connection! The Ether-Serial Link is simple to connect and simple to operate. This device is especially useful for those who wish to install a recorder permanently and monitor the recorder from time to time back at their office. Two versions are available: ESL-1 and ESL-2 (for 1 and 2 serial port connections, respectively.) Note this device is not compatible with EDR-4 series (which require a parallel port.) Get more info
